Second Sole Boardman was the first location opened in June of 1981 by owner Steve Hixson. The original location now serves as the company’s headquarters and offers the most extensive selection of sport specific shoes. From walking to running and everything in between, Second Sole Boardman offers customers the best options from top brands. Like all locations, it also features an extensive selection of track and cross country spikes in addition to other shoe options for various other sports.

In addition to owner Steve Hixson–who can often be found working the sales floor– our staff is highly trained to analyze the bio-mechanics and gait of customers. This is taken into account with the injury history and future goal of customers so that they can be fitted with a shoe that will best meet their needs.
